A new season of Friday night straight-after-work warm-up sessions taking the more discerning clubber on an eclectic House trip into the past to the underground roots of the genre. Since being 'born' in the mid-80's in Chicago, House music has been continuously evolving, and still evolves to this day. But all the original elements of today's House are those same elements that appeared for the first time some 20 years ago: 808 & 909 4/4 monotony and hypnotic grooves. Early House was often very rudimentary in nature, naive even, if you compare it with today's sophisticated production and ideas. But back then it was at least something totally new - a new sound, new scene, new sub-culture. One can't say the same about today's House; it's been around more than two decades now. Perhaps that's why the very latest tunes are mimicking the original House sound - from basic Chicago 4/4 loop House, Electro and Acid, to Rave, Hardcore and early Deep, Progressive and Tech-House.

The "Old-School House - 1986-1996: Da Revival Pre-Party" sessions starting at Justo are basically an excursion around all these seminal styles and forms of original underground House music. We go back into the history of House music, to learn about how House has come to be what it is today - a serious worldwide sub-culture for electronic dance music lovers, clubbers and general hedonists in need of a groove. A retrospective. DJ sets as they were played between 1986 and 1996.

The (small) club's not licensed, is not advertised anywhere, has no sign on the door, takes no money at the bar (all via friends), and is accessed only via a phone call to a friend inside or via a thumb-identification device on the door if you're a regular - most are. Bohemian feel. Great friendly crowd. No one being flash. Dark hard/techy underground tunes all night. The only true undergound club in Moscow. Love it!
